The Story Garden

The Story Garden is a quaint charming community garden located at 35th and Humboldt. It is an open growing space for all residents to plant and harvest. There are no assigned plots, but there is a snackable path to create excitement around fresh food for all the youth in the neighborhood. The garden was started in 2015 in response to a tornado that left the lot empty in 2011. It has since grown into a neighborhood gathering space for spoken word events, movies, potlucks, and storytime around the bonfire. To get involved, please reach out to Danielle.tietjen@gmail.com. Zen on Penn

~ 3558 and 3554 Penn Ave N.

Zen on Penn earned its name from Ms. Talibah; a late Folwell elder who contributed growing efforts at this garden. The community is encouraged to participate at their own leisure. Email info@folwell.org to get involved.
