The plan is to start the I-94 Minneapolis to Brooklyn Center project Monday. Work will start under the bridges for certain. Road signs announcing the start of the project are expected to start appearing on I-94 today.
We could see work start on eastbound I-94 from Shingle Creek Parkway to Hwy 252 Monday as well. That start date is less certain. It could happen next week. By the end of the month, you should see some ramp closures at Shingle Creek Parkway. Two of the four ramps will be closed at a time.
The work on I-94 from Shingle Creek Parkway to Highway 252 and the work on the bridge over the creek is expected to take a couple of months.
Traffic restrictions and lane and ramp closures will be continuous throughout this project. We will stay in touch with road changes.
