Two community meetings are coming up that are opportunities to provide input and feedback about City of Minneapolis housing investments for ownership and low density rental. Our intention is to share the outcomes of our investments made over the last seven years to address foreclosure, abandonment, and vacancy issues in neighborhoods.
We did this study in order to evaluate the impact of our historic investments and strategically plan for how to focus our future investments in housing. The housing type included in the study is predominantly investments in single family ownership and low density rental housing of 8 units or less. Below are the registration details regarding the community meetings and attached is the flier that can be used to promote it. Please feel free to share the Eventbrite invitation on social media or through your neighborhood publications.
The neighborhoods that received the most investment and were most effected are: Folwell, Jordan, Hawthorne, Willard-Hay, Near North, Harrison, Central, Powderhorn Park, and Bryant.
