Organics Drop-off Site Opens at Folwell Park
The drop-off opens TODAY Wednesday August 19th, 2015. Stop by the park for an educational meeting at the Park from 6 – 8 p.m. Stay for five minutes or for the entire event.
Those residents who are not getting an organics recycling cart until next spring may now drop off their organic waste to a new site at Folwell Park. Carts will be located in the NW corner of the Parking lot. From August 22nd – October 3rd, the drop-off will be open on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9a.m. – 12p.m. On October 3rd, those who have signed up to participate will be emailed the code to the locks to use the drop-off at your own convenience.

All Food (including meat, bones and dairy products that you wouldn’t want to compost in your backyard)
Food-soiled and non-recyclable paper (no plastic lined paper [ex. coffee cupor paper ice cream tubs] unless it is labeled compostable)
Compostable Plastics (bags and food service items must be labeled certified compostable to be accepted) Plastic bags MUST have the BPI logo on them. No black plastic bags are compostable.
Other compostable items (coffee grounds and tea bags, hair and nail clippings, dryer lint, wood chopsticks, popsicle sticks, toothpicks, etc.)
